A little
career advice:
Before starting your own business
The idea of starting your own business and being your own
boss is so seductive. No more orders from your boss, no more
working for someone else, no prospect of being made redundant
and down sized by the management, and flexible working hours...
Think again!! This
is definitely not a route to an easier life. You must be prepared
to work very hard towards your goal.
There are also the financial risks. Thousands of new firms
which started off with such rosy promise go to the wall every
year. These business owners are ruined for life with no hope
of getting back on their feet again.
While it is important to nurture your dreams, don't forget
to ask yourself, "What is the downside? What must I give
up or replace?" Think again!!
